I've seen this in game arcades like Timezone where kids, teenagers, adults and even oldies are using real coins and try to earn more by catching fishes in this large screen with a joystick and button.  The iOS version of this game is as addicting as the arcade one.

The game play is incredibly easy even kids will be able to get it.  Although there seems to be no real strategy to catch the bigger fishes, you have to think carefully when to tap and release the net or you'll run out of coins.  The app gives you 15 free coins every minute and 200 coins if you are idle for 6 hours.
